NEW PRODUCT DESIGN RECOGNITION WINNERS

Brian Read recognized for industry excellence . . . . Brian Read, President, Horizon Plastics Co. Ltd is the 2003 recipient of the Structural Plastics Division's Industry Recognition Award, which honors outstanding commitment to the advancement of the structural plastics industry and the SPI Structural Plastics Division.

Mr. Read, now serves as Immediate Past Chair of the division's executive committee after serving two terms as Chair. He has supported the industry in many forms through presentations at the annual conference, volunteering his time on the conference planning committee and working with the Plastics Molders & Manufacturing Section (PMMA) of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and other industry alliances.

He continues to work actively with industry activities including the conference planning committee. The award was given during the division's 31st Annual Conference and Design Recognition, March 30 - April 1 in Nashville.
